About Heavy Duty Floors

Heavy Duty Floors is a family run business, located in Connecticut, owned by the Graves Brothers, Jeff & Chris Graves.  We have been working together for nearly 25 years.  We got our start in the coating installation business because we were one of the few companies trained and equipped to go into aggressive environments such as chemical processing areas and confined spaces.  Back in those days, the coatings were nearly as hazardous as the environments so the projects required wearing breathing air and a great deal of safety equipment which we were very familiar with.  We have fond memories of our first coating project in a sewage processing tank. 

We are not the guys you call for vinyl or ceramic floor tile installation but we do perform subcontracting work for professional tile installers in the areas of tile removal, adhesive removal, floor prep, concrete grinding, concrete leveling, and the installation of specialty moisture mitigation systems in support of professional tile installers.

Our service goes well beyond the application of a coating or sealer.  We work with you to help you make an informed decision on which flooring system is right for your conditions, your design ideas, your schedule and your budget.
